The role
The Finance Operations Accountant will be a key part of the small Finance team at Corero, looking after all aspects of operational finance, and supporting the wider organization to support growth. Key responsibilities will focus on order processing, invoicing and cash collection, accounts payable and accounts receivable and ad hoc project support for the Finance team.
This role would suit a part-time position ideally on the East coast of the US – either 3 days per week or 5 days during school hours for example. The role can be remote with occasional travel to Marlborough, Boston, or office based if desired.
Responsibilities
1. Full ownership of order processing for the group, liaising with the Sales, Operations and Finance teams to ensure efficient processes
2. Data management for all customer data and integrity from a finance team perspective
3. Ownership of invoicing all customers for the group, ensuring accurate revenue recognition
4. Accounts Payable for Corero’s US entity
5. Accounts Receivable for the Corero group
6. Management of employee expenses for the group
7. Ad hoc support for the wider Finance team
a. Payroll, cash management, audit support
b. Sales and Business taxes for Corero’s US entity
8. Support to drive project implementations for a number of processes that need refreshing, improving and making more efficient within the Finance team.
9. Delivery of enhanced efficiencies within the Finance team
Requirements
· 5+ years’ experience in a Finance Operations role
· Experience using Sage Intacct is required
· A ‘can do’ attitude, being ready to get stuck into a small Finance team who are consistently delivering more, faster, better than ever before
· Attention to detail and ability to work through issues independently
· Experience of delivering month end processes will be viewed positively
· Excellent communication skills to be able to work across all departments at Corero.
· Ability to adapt communication style when working with non-financial members of the company
· A quick learner who can adapt to new challenges, share knowledge with the team effectively, and is a nice human to work with!
